November 2021 - Isabella Romines
Our November Hero, Isabella Romines, joined the team as an Administrative Assistant and took a big leap into helping not just with billing but also managing our Patient Experience Reviews. Armed with positivity and determination to be the difference in our patients’ experience, Isabella, and her partner in problem-solving, Katie Welker, the January 2021 Hero, are slaying it. Isabella’s kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to help patients manage their concerns have turned around many patients’ bad days. May 2021 - Wes Keller
Our May Hero embodies the notion of cool under pressure with his imperturbable commitment to the patients and training our newest team members. Anyone who spends time on a shift with Wes can attest to his focus on getting things done. Whether it is a task list, a chart, an IV, or making sure the patient feels heard and cared for, Wes finds a way to make it happen. What made Wes the team’s pick for May Hero was not just his motivation and drive but also his ability to create opportunities for the rest of the team to succeed. Whether training, encouraging, or jumping in to help a teammate, a shift with Wes just makes the shift run smoothly. During his time at TAUC, Wes has become a TLA, an Inventory Liaison, and our May Hero. Congrats and thank you for bringing your passion for care to each and every shift.
March 2021 - Esther Okedina
Don't let Esther Okedina's quiet demeanor fool you. Esther has mastered the role of Physician Facilitator, conquered the G4 (Two-Month Training Team), earned the TAUC Points Triple Crown (July-Dec '20), and has brought a smile to every team member's face when they see her name on the schedule. Esther's superpower, according to Bonusly, is teamwork, and her training skills have become legendary among our PF/APP's who are always grateful for her kind and direct advice in how to manage DocuTAP and patient flow. Esther’s ongoing commitment to our teams, patients, and future generations of TAUC Heroes has made her a standout choice for March Hero 2021.
January 2021 - Katie Welker
We are excited to announce that Katie Welker, Administrative Assistant, known for her wonderful smile, calm demeanor, and her soothing skills as a legendary patient whisperer, was recognized as the January 2021 TAUC Hero. We are beginning the year with a team member who is known for her kindness, optimism, and deep commitment to our team and the patient experience. The billing department’s Heroics ensure that every patient is treated with dignity and that we get paid on payday. Katie consistently dons her Hero Cape to explain complex billing issues to reassure our patients. Having a team member who greets each day and every call with optimism is what makes working with Katie so awesome.
April 2020 - Ethan Morgan
Even in the middle of a busy shift, Ethan Morgan walked down the hallway with a big smile, ready to tackle anything. Well, we think he was smiling, but he, like a true TAUC Hero, was wearing his mask! This month's Hero was selected by his coworkers because of his undeniable passion for all things Total Access. His commitment to the patients is evident at every shift, whether on the phone or in person. Ethan’s trainees appreciate his patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm. He has earned the G1, G2, R1, R2, Training Team, and the TAUC Points Triple Crown for July-December 2019. You know it is going to be a strong shift when Ethan is able to offer his TAUC Magic to patients and coworkers.
March 2020 - Chris Young
With so much going on that makes the world feel a little less steady, it makes sense that the team chose Chris as the Hero for March. Chris approaches every shift, task list, training opportunity, coworker, and patient with the same steady positivity and confidence, no matter the circumstance. Whether it was just another day at TAUC, Flu season, or our most recent challenge brought to us by COVID-19, the team members were quick to point out that this Hero's confidence that everything was going to be managed not only got them through record-breaking numbers but also helped them remain calm and steady as we adapted our practice. It is no wonder that Chris has achieved TLA and Two-Month Training Team (G4). We are all excited to see what is next for this TAUC Hero.
November 2019 - Elvie Islamovic
Upon meeting and spending time with our November Hero, team members are clearly struck by this Hero's commitment to not just patient care but also "team" care. Elvie's talents as a CT/X-ray tech are only exceeded by her talents as a healthcare team player who sees the big picture. Her commitment to offering care and doing the right thing for the right reasons is present at every shift. When receiving her award from Dr. Dinkel, Elvie was quick to point out that she was just "doing her job". Her humility combined with passion are like the secret weapon of awesomeness.
October 2019 - Ajay Minton
Our October Hero just makes sense. Anyone who has worked a shift with Ajay knows that his positivity, commitment, and ability to work his way around a chart is going to ensure a smooth shift. Ajay's many achievements, outside of just general awesomeness include Medical Assistant, Lab Tech, TLA, Team Leader, and PF. His "can do - will do" attitude combined with steely determination and passion make Ajay the person whose name you are always happy to see on your shift especially as we head into the busy TAUC 1 closes of the upcoming flu season.
August 2019 - Emily Czerny
Positive and calm in all scenarios is how a recent trainee described her shift with Emily Czerny. It is this consistent mental fortitude combined with sincere compassion for patient care that has earned Emily the prestigious title of August TAUC Hero. Emily is the most achieved front desk team member in TAUC history to-date, earning the G1, G2, G4 (Trainer), R1, R2, R3, #2 Overall for TAUC Points, and now TAUC Hero. Her passion for patient care shines through in every interaction.
July 2019 - Ashley Snider
In July, we took a moment to recognize a just generally awesome team member, Ashley Snider who is renowned for not only her calm presence but also for her stalwart training skills. It takes a great deal of patience, passion, and knowledge to consistently train our young but talented CT team and Ashley is always up for the challenge. Team members and patients alike mention her calm and reassuring manner in even the most unnerving moments. Whether you are working with straight- or curly-haired Ashley, you know it is going to be a great shift.
May 2019 - Nick Cutler
As unusual as it is for a part-time team-member to be chosen for Hero, Nick Cutler is just that person to inspire the out of the ordinary. Known for his Ninja-like calm during even the highest volume shifts, Nick has been frequently nominated to the Hero ranks. Team members and patients alike rave about his kindness, compassion, and willingness to do whatever it takes to offer the best patient care including walking patients out to their cars with his umbrella. Congrats to Nick for being chosen the May Hero for your many contributions.
December 2018 - Elizabeth Williams
Finishing out 2018, TAUC’s December Hero is none other than Elizabeth Williams, who is the embodiment of the positivity, or at least finding a way to sing a lively tune until the team feels better! Elizabeth, who managed to continue working full-time and complete her Paramedic training also along the way racked up some pretty fantastic achievements including TLA, Inventory Liaison (TAUC 18), TEAM Leader, Two-Month Training Team (G4) . Elizabeth’s can do attitude and commitment to making sure the team and patients experience TAUC Magic make any shift with her an even better day than one could hope for at TAUC. We cannot wait to see what’s next for our December Hero! Congrats!
August 2018 - Kelvin Liang
If you have ever worked a shift with our August Hero, you know exactly why he was chosen as the TAUC Hero. Aside from being an awesome EMT and TLA, he attacks his shifts as a Physician Facilitator. Kelvin is always a fountain of information, energy and optimism. Staff who have nominated Kelvin used words like resourceful, creative, intelligent, kind, compassionate, and one of our favorites, “the energizer bunny of TAUC facts”. Patients and coworkers alike feel his commitment to making their day and their time at Total Access just a little bit better, just a little bit more than they could have expected. Kelvin’s ability to collaborate with the teams, attention to details, and all around good nature make him an incredible TAUC asset and the staff’s choice for August’s Hero. Congrats!
March 2018 - Amy St. Clair
This month's Hero of the Month was chosen for many reasons but not the least of which was for embodying the characteristics that we like to think of as the "triple threat": always willing to take on any challenge presented (with a smile), always committed to helping a coworker (with a smile), and always, without fail, willing to go the distance to help our patients with their concerns (with a smile). Amy's attention to detail makes her a hugely valuable member of the team and combining that with a "can-do" attitude sets the foundation for not only her personal success, but also that of the Billing Department. Amy has achieved the B1 and the B2 and we are excited to see her continue to grow here at TAUC. Congrats Amy and thank you for bringing your positivity and skills to all of us and our patients.
January 2018 - Mandy Thomas
From day one, there was a buzz about our January Hero of the Month. Mandy joined us right out of training and hit the ground running. Her warmth and commitment to excellence are evident at every shift. She quickly became the recipient of many compliments from patients and coworkers for remaining cool in otherwise stressful situations and always, always, offering a reassuring smile. Mandy's Bonusly account reads like #Hero with her many #teamworks followed only by #compassion. Her desire to achieve is seen not only by her metrics but also by her quick addition of CT skills. Mandy's Hero Ceremony was a little smaller than we would have liked due to high patient volumes and even then, her 'patient's first' attitude came shining through. We are excited to celebrate Mandy at the Hero Banquet! Congrats!
December 2017 - Mary Griffiths
When you meet our December Hero for the first time, it is easy to assume that Mary is just that really nice person you know you are going to enjoy working with but don't let her easy-going demeanor fool you. Mary's tenacity and commitment to providing exceptional care, learning from and teaching her coworkers, and desire to achieve is why she has not only succeeded at TAUC but exceeded everyone's initial expectations of excellence. Mary has conquered her TLA, IL and Team Lead roles and as far as we can tell, there is no limit to were this Hero's cape is going to allow her to soar. Congratulations on being chosen Hero by your peers during the Great Flu Season of 2017.
September 2017 - Dan Hunt
Our TAUC Hero for the month of September, Dan Hunt has come to TAUC to not only offer great care and be an awesome coworker, but also continue his love of learning. When you find out about Dan's personal journey, you learn that at every step of his career, he has sought greater challenges and his tenure at TAUC is no different. Coming on board as a Paramedic, Dan challenged himself to become a PF and a Coder. His calm, cool demeanor is appreciated by patients and coworkers. When you see Dan's name on a shift, you know that it is going to be smooth sailing. No matter what challenges are presented by our patients, Dan is quick to find a solution. We can't wait to see what this Hero does next at TAUC.
